The Team Leader, Manufacturing Quality, provides direct supervision to the manufacturing quality team, ensuring quality standards, compliance requirements, and quality principles are consistently applied across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with PMI policies, legal requirements, and Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability standards.
- Supervise and support manufacturing quality team members, including staffing and performance-related activities.
- Coordinate sample availability and testing activities according to established sampling plans and control strategies.
- Review controlled documents, including logbooks and production batch records.
- Maintain and troubleshoot at-line quality instruments, including calibration verification and documentation.
- Lead investigations of nonconformances, consumer complaints, and quality issues; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Manage quality holds to prevent nonconforming materials or products from entering production.
- Develop, review, and maintain procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation.
- Train employees on quality processes and new methods.
- Support quality engineering initiatives, validations, verifications, and manufacturing trials.
- Technical diploma, professional school certification, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced consumer goods or regulated manufacturing environment.
- 1+ year of direct leadership experience, or 2+ years leading projects or teams indirectly.
- Knowledge of quality testing equipment, maintenance, and calibration.
- Experience with quality tools, root cause analysis, and statistical methods.
- Fluent in English.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
