Municipal Treatment Equipment LLC is hiring!

Description:

COMPANY SUMMARY

Municipal Treatment Equipment (MTE) was founded in 1993 as a Process Equipment focused company specializing in custom Chemical Feed solutions. Closely thereafter we expanded into the Flow Control segment of the municipal water and wastewater treatment markets of Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico, in addition to working in the irrigation sector over the entire Southwest region. For over 30 years we have strived to not let anyone in our territory outwork us in customer service, technical field support, or product knowledge. The same MTE team members that answer the phone, take parts orders, and assist with design will oversee the bidding, managing your project, and provide field service—ensuring consistency, expertise, and a seamless experience.

  • Standing for Long Periods: This position requires standing for extended hours, which can place stress on the lower back and legs. Welders may be required to work in uncomfortable or awkward positions.

  • Visual Strain: Although not strictly physical in the sense of strength, this position must focus closely on their work for long periods, which can cause visual fatigue and require concentration.
  • Exposure to Loud Noise: While not a physical movement, the noisy work environment (e.g., from welding machines, grinders, and other equipment) can contribute to physical strain and fatigue, especially if hearing protection is not used.

Working Conditions:

General:

  • Physical Demands: Due to the nature of the work (standing for long periods, heavy lifting, awkward postures), this position can be physically exhausting. This position may experience muscle strain or fatigue, especially after long shifts or complex tasks.
  • Warehouse or Distribution Environment: Work is primarily performed in a warehouse which may expose the employee to varying weather conditions.

Job Stress:

  • Time Pressure: This position may face pressure to meet deadlines, especially in high-demand industries or during large projects. This can create stress and fatigue, particularly when working in adverse conditions or on complex tasks.
  • Client Expectations and Communication: The Warehouse Manager is often in direct contact with clients or stakeholders, and managing expectations and delivering on promises while handling complaints or requests for changes can add to the stress.
  • Workforce Management: This position is responsible for maintaining a skilled workforce, addressing any performance issues, ensuring safety, and resolving conflicts. Managing the dynamics of a team in a high-pressure environment can be stressful.

Workplace Regulations and Standards:

  • Health and Safety Standards: This position must adhere to strict health and safety regulations to protect themselves from hazards like fumes, fire, and injury. These standards are often set by occupational safety organizations like OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
