Maximus is seeking a Lead Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/Cloud Engineer to provide expertise to a federal client in support of their mission critical systems in defense of our Homeland.

We are seeking a Lead Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/Cloud Engineer to provide expertise in leading and managing the RHEL system for a federal client's critical operations. As a technical leader and engineer on our team, the RHEL Chief Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and strategies within the organization.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Perform Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration in an operational environment for multiple high-security mission critical systems and applications.

• Design and implement a hybrid cloud infrastructure, using tools such as terraform and Kubernetes, and orchestrate platform-as-a-service solutions.

• Experience with establishing and managing a team of Cloud and Linux System Engineers, implementing trainings, and supporting career development.

• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC), E.g. terraform, cloud formation, able to implement IaC solutions and training.

• Optimize systems through automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.

• Establishing, maturing, and maintaining DevSecOps processes within the organization by leveraging automation tools and applications such as Jenkins and Git

• Manage deployment and maintenance of virtual environments with VMware vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, etc.

• Experience working with configured host-based systems, TCP/IP, LDAP, DNS, or others.

• Implement monitoring tools such as IBM Netcool and SolarWinds

Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance.

• 10+ years of experience as a RHEL Lead Engineer or related field.

• Must hold one of the following certifications, or equivalent:

o Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)

o Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)

o Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration

• Must be based around Colorado Springs, Colorado.

• This individual will be responsible for the daily operation of mission critical systems on a 24x7x365 workday basis. Emergency call support may be needed.

Pay Transparency
