ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Physical assessment of pre/post procedural patients.
  • Prepare patients pre-procedurally.
  • Assist the patient & physician during the procedure.
  • Receiving & carrying out physicians orders.
  • Assisting physicians with medical procedures.
  • Safely & correctly performing all procedures within the scope of nursing practices.
  • Will participate in & contribute to department/clinic process improvement initiatives, education & new staff orientation.
  • Work environment will be kept in a neat & well-stocked manner.
  • Knowledge of medication dosages, routes & actions.
  • Careful administration of medication ordered.
  • Must be HIPAA compliant; participate in applicable CME education/training.
  • Reordering & stocking supplies & medication inventory as needed.
  • Observation of universal precautions.
  • Identification of patient needs, planning & implementation of care.
  • Direct assistance with any patient need.
  • Ensure that all records required for admission, consent, discharge, etc. are completed.
  • Complete & accurate documentation of assessments, observations situations & events.
  • Formal & informal patient education.
  • Courteous & professional interactions with the public & staff.
  • Other job related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

1.

Education

Associates Degree in Nursing

2.

Licenses

Current unrestricted Registered Nurse License with the State of Colorado

3.

Certifications

Current BLS upon hire with ACLS/PALS within 6 month of hire

4.

Experience

A minimum of 1 year Inpatient experience preferred

WAGE STARTS at $35.00 plus 15% for PRN

Experience

Required
  • - Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an Accredited Nursing School - Unrestricted Colorado RN License - Clinical skills, bedside manner, infection control, Nursing skills, physiological knowledge, administering medications, medical team work, multi-tasking, listening, verbal communication, health promotion and maintenance - BLS upon hire, ACLS within 6 months of hire.
