Monday - Friday $25.00 - $27.00 depending on experience. We also offer .50/HR for each current/valid certificate held.

Job Overview: This position is responsible for the Fleet Operations and Maintenance and reports to the Branch Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service and repair of all fleet vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance (lube, oil change, replace belts, hoses, inspect brakes, repack bearings, check tires, on all size vehicles. Must perform per month.
• Diagnose and effectively repair mechanical, engine and electrical irregularities/malfunctions on all size vehicles.
• Drive automatic and standard shift vehicles for testing, transfer, and pick-up/delivery of parts.
• Perform inventory and order parts, supplies, as needed.

Primary Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience (Preferably Dealership. Foreign/Domestic vehicle experience a plus)
• Possession of valid driver's license (C or better) and ability to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles from 2, 000 to 50, 000 lbs . in size.
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations.
• Must meet DOT standards to achieve brake and annual inspection certifications. A minimum of 1 year experience or a certificate from an approved training program.

Individual Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to read and understand technical service manuals, repair orders, labels, and gauges (in English).
• Ability to write work orders, purchase orders.
• Ability to communicate verbally (in English) using telephone for ordering parts and supplies.
• Ability to obtain Medical Examiners certificate via US Department of Transportation approved medical examiners.
• A Valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms requirements per the state to which you are applying is required.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a semi-enclosed structure and outdoors.
• Environment involves chemical handling, gasoline/diesel fumes and intermittent high noise exposure.
• Exposed to wet and dry conditions in extreme heat and/or cold.
• Full -time schedule consists of an average of 40 hours per week for a 5-day period.
