Description:

Pay Range DOE: $14.81 - $25.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Works flexible schedule, overtime, weekends, and holidays if required.

This position is eligible for Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act. All employees may also make pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) contributions to our retirement plan – must be 18 years of age to participate.

JOB SUMMARY:

A snow shoveler works to clear snow. In this job, your responsibilities are to remove snow after a snowfall from a driveway, parking lot, sidewalk, or pathway space. Your career could also include duties such as using salt or another de-icing substance to clear ice from roads and walkways. Snow removal only takes place in the winter, so it is a seasonal job. Snow shovelers can use a hand shovel, snow blowing equipment, or a vehicle equipped with a plow or other snow removal device.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Snow Shovelers:

  • Manual snow shoveling
  • Shoveling, Snowblowing, and Plowing
  • Operating and maintaining snowblowers, shovels, stand on snow machines, and snow plow trucks
  • Ensuring safe and proper use of all tools and machinery
  • Assisting with loading and unloading materials and supplies
  • Performing basic maintenance and fueling of assigned equipment
