This position will play an integral role in leading safe, engaging, and effective group exercise classes for team members, promoting health and wellness, and contributing to a positive and motivating fitness environment.
Group Exercise Instruction - Lead a group exercise classes (e.g., strength training, yoga, cycling, functional fitness, etc.) with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Demonstrate proper technique, ensuring safety and effectiveness for participants of all fitness levels.
- Provide modifications and progressions to accommodate varying abilities.
- Foster a welcoming, encouraging, and inclusive class environment.
- Maintain music playlists, class equipment, and teaching materials.
- Track class attendance and provide participant feedback when appropriate
QualificationsMinimum Formal Qualifications for this Position- High School Diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent.
- Current national Group Exercise Instructor certification (ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM, or equivalent).
- CPR/AED certification required.
- Prior experience leading group exercise classes (preferred).
Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills: - Strong understanding of exercise science, proper form, and injury prevention.
- Excellent verbal communication and motivational skills.
- Ability to adapt workouts for multiple fitness levels.
- Comfortable with music equipment, class technology, and fitness tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to safety.
Other Required: - Nationally recognized Group Exercise Instructor certification.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Must possess current professional liability insurance with a minimum of $1 million coverage
