Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Commodity Manager to join our Boulder CO sourcing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and support our company’s overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic supply chain, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers. If you are an initiative-taking problem-solver with a passion for optimizing supply chain processes, this is role is for you. This role is four days in office and one day from home.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead in the preparation and implementation of supply strategies that include cost reduction plans, cost containment initiatives and supply-based optimization.
  • Develop a superior working knowledge of assigned commodities and associated market conditions; drive other commodity activities.
  • Communicate activities effectively with suppliers, internal customers, corporate partners and others in the association with MMI Materials group.
  • Initiate, plan, and lead commodity team projects on a divisional, group, and/or EMR wide basis. Delegate assignments to project team members and drive actions to meet expectations for completion.
  • Lead the negotiation and implementation of major agreements with key suppliers within assigned commodities.
  • Champion DFM between suppliers and designers for new and existing products. Lead value analysis and evaluation of cost drivers.
Who You Are:
A person that excels in analytical and negotiation skills, strategic thinking, risk management, and relationship building. They develop and implement sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and conduct market research to optimize procurement processes. Their role involves cost analysis, risk mitigation, performance monitoring, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure alignment with company goals.
For This Role, You Will Need:
  • 8 years’ experience in Commodity or Category Management
  • Bachelor’s degree in: Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration
  • Experience managing sourcing of mechanical or electromechanical components in an industrial manufacturing environment or similar
  • Ability to directly and indirectly develop and drive global, local teams
  • Ability to travel domestic and internationally up to 25%
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $116, 805-$138, 042 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.​
