Short Job Description:
The Building Inspector II provides expertise in the field of Building inspections to other City employees and to the citizens of Greeley, specifically, plumbing in relation to residential, commercial, industrial, and rental property.
Job Summary:
The Building Inspector II provides expertise in the field of Building inspections to other City employees and to the citizens of Greeley, specifically, plumbing in relation to residential, commercial, industrial, and rental property. The incumbent provides information over the telephone, in the office, and at building sites to inspect properties to determine code compliance; writes notices of violations; and works with property owners/contractors to correct violations. The incumbent may be responsible to review and approve building plans; complete forms and reports relating to inspections; log inspections into the computer; and draft correspondence to owners/contractors/and groups. This position may direct assignments of the Building Inspector I position.
