The Rental Housing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the City's Rental Housing program by delivering high-quality customer service to tenants and housing providers while ensuring smooth business operations. This position is responsible for processing and verifying rental applications, issuing invoices, collecting payments, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with the complaint-based rental inspection process. The Coordinator communicates clearly and professionally, helps guide customers through City procedures, and demonstrates strong organizational skills, cultural competence, and the ability to manage multiple technological systems. This role requires independent decision-making, attention to detail, and a commitment to collaboration and continuous learning in a dynamic, service-focused environment.

- Provides clear and concise customer service, answers questions, and guides customers through various City processes.
- Responsible for processing and verifying applications, creating invoices, collecting payments, and issuing rental records.
- Develops, compiles, and maintains files, records, reports, spreadsheets, and databases as requested.
- Assists in the complaint-based rental inspection process, including scheduling, intake forms, sending notices, and tracking.
- Shows initiative, effective collaboration, and transparency while working within the project team.
