Job Description
2nd Home Community - Abilene LLC is hiring a Floor Associate in Aurora, CO. This is a full-time position.
Provide direct care and assistance to participants, including toileting, grooming, ambulation, feeding, and incontinence care as needed. Assist participants with mobility, including use of walkers, wheelchairs, and transfer equipment. Support daily activities such as games, exercises, crafts, group outings, and social programs. Monitor participants throughout the day to ensure safety, engagement, and comfort. Record daily observations, care notes, and attendance in accordance with program requirements. Assist with meal service, snacks, hydration, and dietary needs while ensuring food-safety guidelines are followed. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized environment, including assisting with cleaning tasks. Follow all Adult Day Care policies, procedures, and state regulatory requirements. Report changes in a participants behavior or condition to the Supervisor immediately. Provide emotional support and respectful communication to all participants. Driving clients when necessary Support safe arrival and departure procedures, including assisting participants with transportation. Participate in required trainings, safety drills, and meetings. Qualifications - Required High school diploma or GED. English, Chinese and/or Korean speaking preferred Previous experience in caregiving or related settings preferred. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days). Ability to pass background checks and meet state requirements. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and assist with participant mobility. Qualifications - Preferred CNA certification strongly valued. Bi-lingual language skills preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Compassion, patience, and commitment to participant dignity. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow instructions, care plans, and safety procedures. Understanding of aging-related needs and disability support. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a calm manner. Work Environment Indoor adult day care setting with frequent interaction. Requires standing, walking, bending, transferring, and lifting. May involve exposure to bodily fluids (PPE provided).
