2nd Home Community - Abilene LLC is hiring a Driver in Aurora, CO. This is a full-time position.
Essential Functions: The driver will report to the Program Director. The driver will provide safe and reliable transportation to participants of 2nd Home Adult Community Center LLC. The driver will assist with loading and unloading of the participants to include but not limited to assisting getting in and out of the vehicle, fastening seatbelts, lap belts and shoulder belts, assist participants in the vehicle who use wheelchairs, and strapping wheelchairs in. Assist participants who need door to door service. Maintain supervision levels while in the vehicle and assisting participants loading and unloading. The driver must be able to push and manage a wheelchair, safely assist participant with transfers, operate wheelchair lift and adaptive equipment. The Transportation Professional must have effective written and verbal communication skills, the ability to understand written and oral instructions, ability to complete service verification log and the ability to drive-in all-weather conditions. Employee must maintain effective communication with all staff, participants, caregivers and/or families. Good organizational and time management skills are essential. The employee must maintain a professional attitude and adherence to state licensing policies and procedures. Must maintain participant confidentiality at all times. Desired Qualifications: Preferred: Bilingual with both English and Korean Speaking Equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be evaluated on an individual basis.Will be qualified according to 40-10.110, C.R.S.Be at least 21 years of ageHave a valid Drivers LicenseMedically qualified to driver as required by rule 6109Not disqualified to drive based on the results of the DVCR report required by rule 6106 or criminal history records check required by rule 6114A clear Department of Motor Vehicles driving record check repeated annually Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in: Transportation ServicesLong-term care (residential, adult day services, community-based care) Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and squat for prolonged periods; ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 20 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis (occasionally up to 50 pounds); full use of gross and fine motor skills of the upper and lower extremities (i.e., writing in charts, assisting with toileting and incontinence care, assisting with meals, activities, etc.) Working Conditions: Primarily in transportation vehicle and outside when warranted.
