About Camden

Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.

About Camden Safeguarding Children Partnership (CSCP)

Safeguarding children and ensuring their wellbeing is a top priority for Camden Council and its partners. Camden Safeguarding Children Partnership is a multi-agency statutory body designed to ensure that local services work together effectively to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Our mission is to act in the best interests of our children and young people, listening to their experiences, ambitions, and ideas, and ensuring they feel seen and heard.

Visit www.cscp.org.uk to learn more about our work. Camden Council Children's Services was rated Outstanding by Ofsted ILACS inspection (2025), highlighting our strong partnerships and commitment to delivering high-quality care and support for children and young people.

What You’ll Be Doing / How You’ll Be Involved

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative team to manage the development, planning and delivery of a range of safeguarding priorities for Camden children and young people. The role requires leading the successful delivery of a number of workstreams with a wide range of statutory and community partners. To achieve this, the postholder will develop and maintain relationships across the Camden Children’s Services and its partners in Health, Education, Police and community sector to make improvements on safeguarding practice, performance and joint working.

The role involves coordinating the system learning response to serious child safeguarding incidents, to ensure that they are undertaken effectively, with a focus on continuous improvement in safeguarding practices. This is an excellent opportunity to develop how you analyse issues, consider barriers, scope potential areas of development, and monitor progress to ensure recommendations are delivered to agreed timescales and achieve desired outcomes. Part of the role involves co-designing and coordinating the CSCP multi-agency safeguarding learning offer, including reporting on quality and impact of training and learning material. Contribute to the national reform of children's social care by implementing best practices and aligning local initiatives with the broader goals set out by the government.
