This role is responsible for providing leadership, coordination and direction to the mill teams for elements of the development, introduction and sustainability of a continuous improvement culture leveraging proven principles, systems and tools.
This role will be responsible for but not limited to:
Facilitate, promote and support a continuous improvement culture at Barrow mill including, leveraging proven systems, tools and techniques
CI SME - Coaching and development of leadership teams in CI thinking, tools and systems supporting a multi-year site wide transformation effort
Enable deployment of proven CI tools throughout the mill organisation
Working with the CI leader team and Manufacturing Excellence team to support strategy deployment processes within the mill.
Work with the COE to develop, facilitate and manage the introduction of new tools within the mill to counteract identified problems and challenges
Ensure existing CI and One KC Manufacturing activities (e.g. centre-lining, TPM, and RFS) are interlinked and encapsulated within the transformation effort to provide a coherent framework to the mill
Support the EMEA CI transformation roadmap, providing a link between the mills and sector resources with regards CI activities
Full compliance with corporate policies and government health and safety regulations

In one of our manufacturing roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the centre. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
HND (preferably with more of a technical focus)
LEAN qualification would be advantageous
Understanding of operations and operating principles
Thorough understanding of CI/ Lean manufacturing principles and tools
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to constructively challenge existing practices and procedures
Networking skills – both internal and external to the mill
