Vacancy: SENIOR TRAINER

We are searching for talent in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.

Functions and Responsibilities

In accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Johnson & Johnson Corporate procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Along with the Training Coordinator, ensures all manufacturing associates are trained according to the specifications/procedures established in the training curriculum.
  • Executes New Hire Orientation (NHO) activities as required.
  • Assigns exams to assess training effectiveness.
  • Documents training activities and verifies related documentation.
  • Supports the development of programs and materials to enhance training effectiveness for manufacturing personnel.
  • Assists in maintaining department files.
  • Maintains reports and department records (matrix, reports, etc.).
  • Supports manufacturing associates in resolving machine and product/process issues.
  • Assists with manufacturing activities related to training as needed.
  • Participates in the site's safety initiatives.
  • Knows and complies with all safety regulations established by the company.

TWI Methodology Activities (Training Within Industry) as required:

  • Trains and certifies selected experts to teach operations, applying the TWI methodology.
  • Evaluates, monitors, and coaches associates in executing and instructing the methodology.
  • Participates in the monthly compliance evaluation of associates within their control areas.
  • Creates and reviews Job Breakdown Sheets (JBS) for new or existing activities, ensuring adherence to guidelines and best practices.
  • Ensures process verification activities (1 and 2) are performed and supports archiving when necessary.

Operator Certification Activities (OPCERT) as required:

  • Trains employees entering the certified operator program.
  • Trains new QA Technicians or colleagues in manufacturing areas on tasks ensuring quality.
  • Reports any non-conformities related to Operations audits to the OpCert Program Coordinator.
  • Performs product disposition in practical evaluations (if applicable).
  • Supports the creation of physical and electronic defect samples based on the process to be certified.
  • Trains employees in procedures, changes to specifications, and new regulations related to Operations.
  • Assists associates in understanding defects and specification requirements.
  • Reviews release records for certified associates.
  • Performs electronic captures in the CW system to release certified associates.
  • Verifies the quality history of candidates in the LIMS system (as required).
  • Stores and captures quality audits performed on operators.
  • Reviews audit reports and recertification dates, coordinating audits and recertification processes.
  • Responsible for communicating business issues or opportunities to the next management level.
  • For supervisors or managers, ensures subordinates follow all company guidelines related to health, safety, and environmental practices, and that resources are available and in good condition.
  • Ensures personal and company compliance with all federal, state, local regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

  • Technical career or equivalent is minimum required.
  • 4-6 years in a training role is preferred.
  • Or, between 25% and 50% of the professional career completed (preferred).

Experience and Skills:
