Job Description:

Coordinates Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering by ensuring that project plans are comprehensively reviewed, implemented, and completed on schedule and within budget. Assists in the development and execution of detailed engineering project plans that will lead to improved performance and efficiencies by capitalizing on standard project management tools. Arranges the translation of relevant manufacturing data into broadly-understandable terms to communicate project progress with leadership. Conducts effective and efficient use of project engineering tools and techniques to solve opportunities. Arranges status reports on assigned projects in various formats to various organizational levels. Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team. This job does not require any experience. This job is overtime eligible.

We are searching for the best talent for PRODUCTION ENGINEER I to be in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local

laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

Responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership for daily manufacturing operations and

ensuring established metrics (Production, Quality, Scrap and Cycle Time) are met

Utilizes Process Excellence methodology and tools to identify and implement improvement projects

geared to reduce cost, eliminate scrap, improve quality and minimize cycle time

Provides specific technical expertise to support special projects, pilot operations, product and

process improvements; and provides input to develop capital expense forecast and

equipment/spare parts budgets to support business needs

Identifies and develops corrective action plans to improve product reliability in the field

Provides support to product inquiry investigations

Follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within the work area

Compliance with safety policies and procedures

Ensures compliance with Environmental Management System (EHS) responsibilities

Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed may be assigned

Provides and implements robust corrective actions to quality, safety and ergonomic risk detected in

the manufacturing area.

Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level

For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all

Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources

needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable

Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and

Company regulations, policies, and procedures

Performs other duties assigned as needed

Under general supervision, conducts assignments involving a specific

portion of a project, which may include design, development,

manufacturing, construction, installation, operation and maintenance.

Lead proactive analysis and issue investigation and resolution to drive

quality improvements, customer satisfaction and corporate

commitments.

Ensure NCR are in compliance with the Quality Systems

Lead and/or Support Quality System improvements and productivity

improvements relevant to the organization and to the customer.

Conducts assignments encompassing complete projects or portions of

major projects.

Determines methods and techniques to be used or adapt standard

methods to meet variations. Coordinates phases of work internally and

externally.

Support validation and documentation activities in conjunction with

Engineering department.

Coaching and mentoring engineering clerks and new hires (Supervisors

and Engineers) on related quality systems applications and Strong

Communication and influencing Skills (Fluent in English)

Requirements:

Education:

Three to five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and/ or medical device industry

preferred (See Table A, Job Experience Requirements for each level).

Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Engineering or other technical discipline.

B.S. Engineering Degree

Approximate experience, or equivalent

knowledge and skills, necessary to satisfactorily perform the position responsibilities.

0 – 2 years of experience in related field.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Advance technical training in area(s) of expertise preferred
  • Bilingual: English/ Spanish preferred
  • GMP/ ISO knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of product and process design and development, materials, standardization science and
  • applied statistics
  • Knowledge of project management and cost analysis preferred
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet analysis, data management, projects management,
  • presentation graphics, engineering analysis and statistical software.
  • Knowledge of information systems including but not limited to JDE, Quality Systems &
  • Documentation Control Systems.
