We are searching for the best talent for Operating System Deployment Sr Manager to be in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico

Purpose:

This role is part of a JJOS MAKE Deployment Team to support implementation of the J& J OPERATING SYSTEM (JJOS) and to improve effectiveness and efficiency of MAKE processes. Overall responsibilities will include the deployment on request, of the JJOS Business Process Standards across all segments and franchises of MedTech and Innovative Medicines, from the request for support to the generation of sustainable value for the business. Enabling this value generation (Cost, Cash & Service) will often require working in collaboration with PLAN, SOURCE, and DELIVER, as well as including the ability to integrate innovative new technologies to support development of supply chain capabilities.

The MAKE JJOS pillar is made of 10 Business Process Standards and is supported by a playbook, a library of diagnostic tools, and standardized approaches to the design and implementation process for all stages. The JJOS Deployment Agent will master this methodology and apply it with discipline, maintaining the playbook as a fundamental reference. They will also have the flexibility to adapt its utilization to the context of their intervention and to the maturity of the organization's capabilities.

Delivering transformational results across range of key supply chain metrics is the goal of the JJOS Deployment Agent. The person's interventions will lead problem solving, by managing the workstream teams and keeping them focused on impact. They will also ensure that the proposed solutions are aligned with JJOS principles and practices (based on Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, etc.) and that their implementations are timely executed and are delivering the expected impact.

The JJOS Deployment Agent will be accountable to ensure that their interventions result in sustainable value generation which influences stakeholders before, during, and after them. It will also require training and coaching of local deployment teams to develop the right capabilities, to ensure understanding and adoption, and to enable a continuous improvement of the implemented solutions. Leveraging the SC Academy and SC Excellence SMEs will be resources to be mobilized by the Deployment Agent when needed.

This leader will work closely with various stakeholders including but not limited to:

Functional leaders in Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Quality, Technology and Digital organizations, and the JJOS Regional Leaders and teams. They will be responsible to be the MAKE contributor to the End-to-End performance improvement solutions proposed, helping to design future states and to convince MAKE stakeholders through data driven demonstrations.

Technology evolves continuously and promises accelerated and more in-depth investigations, future state designs and implementations. The JJOS Deployment Agent will be responsible for adopting and fostering adoption of the validated new tools made available

You will be responsible for :

Deliver transformational results:
  • Manage work streams - Progress and deliverables.
  • Deliver intermediate and end-results:
    • Phase reports (e.g. diagnostic, design packs, TIPs etc)
    • Supporting analysis and evidence
  • Ensure overall quality standard - solutions are aspirational and technically correct.
  • Understand diagnostic results and the levers that will lead to improved performance.
  • Review TIPs and ensure milestones link to capturing full diagnosed value.
  • Ensure area and plant metrics will track and reinforce improvement.
  • Provide coaching to site JJOS leads and plant managers to capture both operational and financial impact
Implement JJOS MAKE Business Process Standards and apply standard methodology:
  • Know the playbook in full, being able to select and apply the appropriate process (Diagnose, Confirm, Design, Plan, Implement, Sustain) and JJOS elements, practices, tools and standards; be able to teach others.
  • Ensure standardized process is adhered to and all key milestones are met at high quality.
Generate sustainable value:
  • Look for integration of proposed solutions into on-going local programs.
  • Develop the needed capabilities to implement and sustain the designed future state.
  • Ensure a continuous improvement system is in place to apply standardized solutions.
  • Get support from SC Excellence resources to contribute to capability building plans.
  • Ensure sites build capabilities for sustainable change.
  • Science or Engineering degree, A MBA or another advanced degree is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Environment (internal or external) .
  • 8 -10 years of related experience in Supply Chain.
  • Leadership experience in a plant-based environment is preferred.
  • Understanding of financial, operating and business factors relating to Supply Chain is required.
  • Demonstrated ability with Change Management is required.
  • Ability to manage and drive a organization.
  • Outstanding 'Lean Attitude' is required, process excellence background (Lean certification / Six Sigma) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to get things done through influence versus line responsibility is required.
  • Ability to support and coach teams and change agents throughout the deployment is required.
  • Communicate with conviction at all levels (both written and verbally).
  • Advocate strongly the operational excellence principles.
  • Think strategically and develop plans to reach objectives in context of on the ground team support, knowledge codification and development of expertise.
  • Plan, prioritize and organize complex tasks.
  • Solve problems by applying structured root cause problem solving tools and coach others to apply them.
