We are searching for the best talent for Line Coordinator I (Temporary 12 months) to be in Juárez, Chihuahua, Planta Independencia

Purpose: Provides support to the Manufacturing Supervisor by coordinating various activities to meet the production schedule, including continuous supply of components and materials, verification of equipment set-up and meeting training requirements for personnel, while ensuring quality specifications and procedures are followed. Under direct supervision, coordinates production associates to meet schedule in compliance with Quality System, EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) and company policies to ensure that equipment and material resources will be utilized effectively and efficiently.

You will be responsible for :
  • Responsible for scheduling the production line based on supply requirements and demands.
  • Manages the effective and efficient utilization of equipment and material resources to optimize performance.
  • Assists the manufacturing supervisor to ensure that production plans are met.
  • Responsible for maintaining the continuous flow of the line by verifying the constant feeding of components, supplies and tooling.
  • Checks the set-up of machines and equipment with the help of maintenance technicians.
  • Verifies compliance of machinery and equipment calibration with respect to their due dates.
  • Immediately report any quality problems, increased error rates, and equipment malfunctions to the manufacturing supervisor or line engineer to determine a solution.
  • Ensures that there is cleanliness and order at workstations as required by procedures.
  • Distributes associates in a timely manner at the beginning of the shift based on line balancing and production requirements.
  • Verify that the labels are correct and that the quantities per lot are as indicated
  • Responsibilities include some clerical functions within the business unit including writing scrap reports, training records, production metrics, manufacturing documents, capture in the automated training system, among others.
  • Maintains organization of Kanban and other storage areas on the manufacturing floor.
  • Verifies compliance with quality policies and productivity targets.
  • Supports and promotes the safety and industrial hygiene objectives in the plant.
  • Verifies each associate's training against requirements and ensures that standard work is being met.
  • Performs audits to GMP's.
  • Participates in continuous improvement actions.
  • Supports and administers award and recognition programs.
  • Some other responsibilities may be added, as well as some of those listed may not be assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an assembly operator in manufacturing, preferably in the medical industry.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics, mathematics, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Excellent communication skills to serve as an interface between manufacturing, engineering, materials management, and quality control.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Good communication skills in English are highly desirable.
  • Functional knowledge on PC applications and programs such as MS, Windows, Excel, etc
