Job DescriptionSUMMARY: The Marketing Analyst will work as an HTML Email Specialist for Marketing who is a technical partner to the Email Creative team, responsible for building, reviewing, optimizing, and maintaining high-quality HTML email code for marketing campaigns. This role works closely with Marketing Designers and Associate Graphic Designers to transform visual designs into clean, efficient, and scalable email code, ensuring consistent rendering across email clients and devices.
The position focuses on code quality, best practices, accessibility, and continuous improvement, helping the team polish existing templates, resolve rendering issues, and introduce technical enhancements that elevate campaign performance and efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Email Development & Code Quality
- Build and maintain responsive HTML email templates.
- Review and optimize existing code for quality and performance.
- Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and deliverability standards.
- Design Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing and Associate Designers to convert designs into HTML.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot rendering issues.
- Dynamic Integrations
- Implement dynamic content (e.g., personalization, countdowns).
- Ensure proper rendering and graceful fallback.
- Process & Standards
- Define and document HTML email standards and best practices.
- Maintain reusable templates and modules.
- Support onboarding with technical documentation.
REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience coding HTML emails for marketing or promotional campaigns.
- Proven experience working alongside designers and marketing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Other/preferred:
- Strong proficiency in HTML for email (table - based layouts, inline CSS, client - specific constraints).
- Working knowledge of CSS as applied to email clients.
- Experience troubleshooting cross - client rendering issues.
- Familiarity with responsive and mobile - first email techniques.
- Understanding of accessibility standards for email (semantic structure, readable layouts).
- Experience working with design handoffs from Figma.
- Familiarity with dynamic content tools (e.g., Movable Ink) is a plus.
- Experience working within project management workflows (e.g., Workfront) is preferred.
