Role overview
Responsible for responding to customer inquiries to provide solutions in accordance with Greif’s service standards, and as part of a high-performance customer service team.
Key task and activities
Interacts with customers via methods including (but not limited to) phone, email, or in person to provide legendary customer service.
Manages the sales order journey from entry to tracking,
Delivers resolution to initial customer problems and provides information on products and services.
Escalates more complex or specialist issues in accordance with Greif’s policies and procedures.
Maintains and updates customer records to ensure correct information is shared, with details of inquiries, comments, or complaints recorded.
Pro-actively contacts customers to provide updates to complaints, planned adjustments or other inquires.
Communicates up to date and relevant order information, such as pricing, shipping information.
Actively participates in and adheres to Greif’s safety culture.
Contributes to the improvement of customer service processes and participates in relevant initiatives.
Collaborates with other departments to provide legendary customer service and cross-department harmony.
Assists with new Customer Service team member training.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Required - Highschool education 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above including English and Mathematics.
Desirable - further education/qualifications to NVQ III or equivalent in Business administration or Customer Service.
Experience:
Able to demonstrate experience in a role that provides customer service activities.
Minimum 5 years experience in a B2B customer service position preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Able to demonstrate learning new products and a willingness to quickly learn, that will achieve proficient product knowledge.
Able to demonstrate experience of problem solving, ideally in a customer service capacity.
Technical Skills:
Competent user of Microsoft Office. Any other platforms, such as a CRM, would be an advantage.
Soft Skills:
Demonstrates confident communication skills in terms of both listening and verbal.
Must be fluent in the country language and English.
Strives to achieve high attention to detail.
Can work both independently and as part of a team.
