The Role: Material Planner

What will you do?

The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support production requirements, customer schedules, and inventory targets. The role focuses on MRP execution, PO management, supplier alignment, inventory control, and mitigation of supply risks.

MRP Execution & Order Management - 30%
  • Run and analyze MRP regularly to ensure accurate material signals.
  • Convert planned orders into purchase orders and manage updates or changes.
  • Investigate major MRP issues related to lead times, BOM, or master data errors.


Supplier Coordination & Delivery Management - 25%
  • Align with suppliers on delivery commitments, delays, and recovery plans.
  • Monitor supplier confirmations and follow up on shortages or critical supply risks.
  • Support supplier performance monitoring (e.g., OTIF).


Inventory & Material Availability Control - 20%
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels aligned with safety stock and coverage targets.
  • Monitor inbound shipments and ensure material availability for production needs.
  • Escalate risks of shortages and support urgent production requirements.
Production & Cross-functional Support - 10%
  • Confirm material readiness for production schedules.
  • Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, quality, and engineering on material issues.
Master Data Accuracy - 5%
  • Ensure correctness of key master data such as lead time, MOQ, price, and supplier information.
Reporting - 10%
  • Prepare essential supply line reports and track critical KPIs such as supplier on-time delivery and shortages.


What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related.
  • Experience in MRP/ERP systems (Oracle).
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel or planning tools.
  • Good communication skills for supplier and internal alignment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of inventory planning, control systems, and material flows.
  • Work location: Rosario, Cavite
