About the opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Energy Management and Power Quality Application Engineer to join our team in Auckland NZ.
As the Energy Management and Power Quality Application Engineer, you will provide expert support to our solution sales team, primarily focused on Energy Management and Power Quality applications and also at a Low Voltage Distribution product and quotation level as required.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager Power Products and Solutions, you will also contribute to solving high-level technical issues and growing the Power Products and Digital Energy segments by fostering and supporting our digital platforms.
Key responsibilities: - Build proof of concept (POC) to conquer a new account and/or to capture an additional share of business
- Build and animate demos to develop customer's confidence
- Audit customer sites for power quality, calculate for enhancements and engineer solutions
- Answer deep technical questions and assist with high level trouble shooting
- Engage with customers in co-design of the energy management solution bringing new ideas and concepts to deliver competitive architecture
- Conduct business with a passion for excellence
- Collaborate with sales teams and link new Schneider Products with growth opportunities, not yet captured in the NZ market
About you: To find success in this position you will have 5+ years of experience in an Electrical Engineering position.
Your experience will be supported by continuous improvement and a tertiary qualification in Engineering with a Distribution or Quality related focus, NZCE or equivalent by experience.
Key skills and experience: - Influencing skills to build and support the customer relationship
- Demonstrated resilience when dealing with issues on mission critical infrastructure
- Commercial acumen and skills in executing quality tools in a matrix environment
- Sound theoretical background in low voltage power distribution and power quality
- Expertise in metering and connectivity to digital platforms
- Well-developed digital skills and a technical aptitude, AutoCAD expertise highly valued
