The Head of SMT-USis responsible forleading and managing the overall operations and resources, ensuring the achievement of organizational goals andobjectives. Thisrolerepresentsthe organization andmaintainsrelationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing one voice torepresentZEISS SMT.The Head of SMT-USplays a pivotal role infostering a positive work environment, building acohesive, collaborativeand high-performingteam thatdrives thestrategic direction of the organization. This includesbusiness development, field marketing, leadingthetechnologyroadmaps, maintainingthe installation basis, productsalesandcontinuouslydevelopingpartnerships, including but not limited toZEISS SMT, ZEISS INC, ZEISS SMT SSCteamsandourcustomers.Finally, this personisresponsiblefordevelopingthe SMT-USorganization, reporting structures, synergiesand driving thecultural development of team leaders and membersincluding talent management.

What you’ll do in this role:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management: Provide visionary leadership, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Lead and develop the executive team and senior management.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to advance the organization’s mission andobjectives.Identifyopportunities for growth andimprovement andallocateresources accordingly.
Financial Oversight: Manage the organization' s budget and financial resources, ensuring financial stability and accountability through effective financial planning, reporting, and auditing processes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build andmaintainrelationships with key stakeholders, including partners, clients, and the community. Advocate for the organization’s interests and mission.
Sales: Ensure meetingsales objectivesandimplementing negotiation excellence
Performance Monitoring: Establishperformance metrics(KPI)and evaluate organizational progress towards goals. Implement corrective actions asnecessaryensuringobjectivesare met.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure the organization adheres to legal and regulatory requirements, maintaininghigh standardsof governance and ethical conduct.
Operational Management: Oversee daily operations ensuringefficient and effective management of resources. Implement policies/procedures to enhance productivity and compliance.
Global Key Account Management: Manages customer relations andfacilitatesglobal way of work for customers which areheadquarteredin USA
Culture and Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure the recruitment, retention, and development of high-quality staff.
Your Qualifications
10+ years in semiconductor or strongly related sectors and a demonstrated history of senior leadership in a similar company.
Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a closely related field
Strong strategic thinking, planningand decision-makingskills
Financial acumen and experience in budget management
Exceptional communication and interpersonalabilities
Ability to build andmaintaineffective relationships with stakeholders
Capability to work in matrix organization and manageyour seniormanagers
Demonstrated ability to inspireand motivateteamstowards achieving goals
The annual pay range for this position is $270, 000 – $330, 000
The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions. ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
