Shift: Day Shift (may vary based on operational needs)
Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour (DOE)Position SummaryWaterman Canyon Post Acute is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Treatment Nurse to join our clinical team. The Treatment Nurse is responsible for providing specialized wound and skin care, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting quality clinical outcomes in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards. This role plays a critical part in promoting resident healing, comfort, and overall well-being.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform wound assessments, treatments, and dressing changes per physician orders and care plans
- Monitor wound healing progress and report changes or concerns promptly
- Accurately document treatments, measurements, and observations in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal care
- Assist with development and implementation of individualized wound care plans
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and facility policies
- Educate residents, families, and staff on wound care and skin integrity as appropriate
- Maintain treatment supplies and ensure proper use of equipment
- Support survey readiness and compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications- Current, active California LVN or RN license in good standing
- Prior experience as a Treatment Nurse or wound care experience preferred
- Knowledge of wound care protocols, skin integrity management, and infection prevention
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
