What You'll DoAs a Speech Language Pathologist at The Pines at Placerville, you will:
- Evaluate residents to determine speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate residents and caregivers on aspiration prevention, communication strategies, and maintenance programs
- Participate in care conferences, rehabilitation meetings, and utilization reviews
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
- Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFY) and students as applicable
- Assist with staff education and restorative nursing training
- Help residents maximize independence, safety, and quality of life
Qualifications- Current California Speech Language Pathologist License
- New grads encouraged to apply
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctorate preferred
- CPR Certification if required by licensure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Familiarity with Net Health and Point Click Care is a plus
