Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Position: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Shift: Full Time, Part Time, and PRN Opportunities
Program: In-House Therapy Program
Rate: Starting at $54 per hour

Job Description:
  • Provide patient care as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes in accordance with Occupational Therapy Board standards.
  • Implement treatment plans as prescribed by physicians.
  • Assist the nursing department in training Restorative Aides.
  • Communicate with supervisors and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress, issues, and planning.
  • Participate in in-service training programs for facility staff to enhance skill sets.
  • Document evaluations, daily treatment notes, and recertification documentation in compliance with the Occupational Therapy Board and regulatory requirements.
  • Record any treatment changes in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Educate patients' families or nursing staff on maintenance programs and provide caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.
  • Contribute to discharge planning efforts.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area.
  • Report any issues with departmental equipment to ensure it is kept in good working order.
  • Foster positive and effective relationships with patients, families, staff, and professional colleagues.


Required License or Certification:
  • Valid Occupational Therapist Assistant License
