Description:

Overview: The Manager of Professional Advocacy will play a key role in expanding the strategic U.S. healthcare provider (HCP) thought leadership strategy to support Sight Sciences’ commercialization strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage advisory boards in alignment with functional objectives
  • 15% of the year is to be time spent in the operating room and clinics with HCPs to learn and build relationships
  • Engage HCP consultants to help Sight Sciences develop and implement defensive & offensive strategies that help thwart off competition, and increase positive portfolio noise
  • Work closely with cross-functional areas on content development for national level symposia/ tradeshows
  • Plan and coordinate promotional presence at major medical conferences and symposia
  • Develop training and communication plans for HCP consultant management
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive metrics plan including: HCP consulting interactions, development, and activities
  • Operate as liaison between VP level and HCP consultant connections at all major societal meetings
  • Attend relevant industry convention/trade shows, symposia, physician training programs, conferences, and scientific meetings to gain voice of customer and market insights for strategic plan
  • Manage current HCP consultant platform contracting (speaking/consulting), compliance, program scheduling including verification with sales and marketing programs to support and verify speaker/consulting activity (payment approvals, handling payment issues)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or life sciences or equivalent experience required. MBA or master’s degree in management preferred
  • Minimum 8-10 years related experience in the medical device industry. Previous sales, sales marketing or project management experience preferred
  • Develop and manage HCP consultant budget and contract management
  • Identify, build and manage relationships with key physicians, distributors, clinical investigators, and potential customers
  • Partner with Marketing, commercial, and clinical support to develop broad intermediate term/long- term HCP consultant plans for the US and international commercial organization
  • Maintain superior knowledge of competitive technologies in addition to medical, technical, and biomedical developments related to Sight Sciences’ products
  • Maintain a professional and credible image with key physicians, distributors, consultants, vendors, and co-workers
  • Actively work to promote the Sight Sciences culture focused on team building and morale within the marketing department
  • Demonstrate understanding of global ethics & compliance, legal and regulatory guidelines of the pharmaceutical industry especially in relation to medical services and Field Medical initiatives
  • Thorough working knowledge of the medical device industry required
  • Strong relationship building skills and emotional intelligence
  • Strong project management and time management skills required
  • Ability to exercise sound decision-making and good judgment consistent with a senior level position
  • 20%-40% overnight travel
