Description:

Shift: PM Shift (3pm-11pm)
  • Supervise Nursing Assistants Daily
    Direct and oversee the daily tasks of nursing assistants, ensuring adherence to facility policies and state regulations.
  • Medication Administration & Documentation
    Safely prepare, administer, and document medications in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols, including handling narcotics.
  • Care Planning and Charting
    Monitor and update resident care plans, ensure proper documentation, and maintain accurate medical records for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Resident Care Oversight
    Deliver and supervise quality nursing care, including assessments, restorative programs, treatments (e.g., catheterization, wound care), and monitoring of physical/emotional well-being.
  • Staff Management & Leadership
    Participate in hiring decisions, performance evaluations, daily shift reports, training, and disciplinary actions. Lead shift meetings and resolve personnel issues.
  • Survey and Compliance Readiness
    Maintain compliance with regulations and be prepared for government surveys and audits by ensuring all nursing practices align with state and federal guidelines.
  • Infection Control and Safety
    Monitor infection prevention procedures, ensure use of PPE, and enforce safety standards, including proper equipment use and hazard reporting.
  • Communication & Collaboration
    Coordinate care with physicians, dietary staff, social services, and families. Notify appropriate parties of incidents, status changes, or emergencies.
  • Licensing and Continuing Education
    Maintain an active, unencumbered LPN/LVN license and complete all required continuing education, including CPR and OSHA/infection control training.
  • Physical & Emotional Demands
    Must be able to lift 25+ pounds, handle high-stress situations, and work with elderly, ill, or emotionally upset residents across a variety of care environments.


Pay range: $37-40/hr (negotiable)
