Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Santa Cruz Post Acute
Full-Time • Part-Time • PRN
Starting at $45/hour DOE + Benefits
Santa Cruz Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our high‑performing rehabilitation team. We provide quality, resident‑centered care in a supportive and collaborative skilled nursing environment. Full‑time, part‑time, and PRN opportunities are available.
Position Summary
The Physical Therapy Assistant works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver effective therapeutic interventions aimed at improving resident mobility, strength, endurance, balance, and functional independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct physical therapy treatments in accordance with individualized care plans established by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, mobility programs, and functional activities.
- Document daily treatment notes, resident progress, and response to therapy in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with the PT, therapy team, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members to support resident-centered care goals.
- Educate residents and caregivers on exercise programs, safety, and mobility techniques.
- Maintain compliance with state/federal regulations and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of California.
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
- SNF experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply!
