Full-Time • Part-Time • PRN
Starting at $45/hour DOE + Benefits
Santa Cruz Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic therapy team. We are committed to providing high‑quality, resident‑centered care in a supportive and collaborative skilled nursing environment. Full‑time, part‑time, and PRN schedules are available.
Position Summary
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help residents improve functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide treatment interventions as outlined in the resident's individualized OT plan of care.
- Assist in implementing therapeutic programs to improve ADLs, mobility, strength, coordination, and cognitive function.
- Document daily treatment notes, progress updates, and resident responses according to facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the occupational therapist, therapy staff, nursing team, and other interdisciplinary members to support resident goals.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, safety techniques, and functional strategies.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of California.
- Graduate of an accredited COTA program.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
- Prior SNF experience preferred but new grads are welcome to apply!
