Department: Purchasing
Works under the supervision of the Materials Management Director. This position will develop, review, and process - from initial request to contract execution -Supply, (Consignment, Lease, Pricing) Capital, purchase services, equipment service, and IT (Software, Support and service) contracts. Handles administrative tasks, as well as respond to internal and external correspondence following established company policies. Will involve extensive computer skills along with data analysis. Prepares necessary documents to process requests. Maintains contract files and other pertinent information. Attends in-services and meetings as required. Works closely with department leadership in completing project.
- Receives requests for Capital Equipment, Service (Maintenance and Support), IT (Software, Support and Service) and Supply (Consignment, Lease, Pricing) contracts - includes new, existing contracts to be terminated, amended or supplemented. Maintains a log or spreadsheet of all contract requests, noting the date of receipt, name of requestor, nature of request and other key information for contracts in process
- Initial review of terms and conditions and other key considerations, by contract type.
- Initial review of price justification (GPO and/or Third party information).
- Notification to the Value Analysis Team as appropriate for supply (disposables) related to contract.
- Prepare Routing form and related documentation, to facilitate the review and signature of documentation.
- Meets with Key Stakeholders to review terms and conditions, pricing, and discussion of next steps with timeline.
- Assist Leaders with vendor negotiations as needed.
- Receive and review redline documentation to confirm changes from vendor.
- Meets with Contract Administrator to review documentation.
- In collaboration with leader, generates Executive Summary with financial impact.
- Obtains signature approval from Executive per SVMHS policy.
- Collaborate with Contract Owner to obtain Purchase Order Requisition.
- Sends Purchase Order and contract to Vendor.
- Obtain signature from Leader for auto receipt of future invoice payments.
- Follow-up with vendor for countersigned contract.
- Upload final contract into electronic contract repository system.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience required.
Licensure: None.
Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in healthcare supply chain contracting, or supply chain data analysis
The hourly rate for this position is $40.43 - $50.54. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
