Position OverviewLaunch your career with a paid summer internship at Salinas Valley Health, an award-winning 263-bed acute care hospital serving Monterey County.
The Live Well Project Internship Program is a 10-week experiential learning opportunity designed for undergraduate students interested in healthcare, community outreach, and wellness initiatives. This program reflects our commitment to community engagement, youth education, and workforce development.
Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting outreach programs that promote health and wellness across our community while working alongside a collaborative and mission-driven team.
Primary Responsibilities- Support community outreach initiatives, including marketing, communications, and volunteer engagement
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and participating in community events and wellness programs
- Contribute to the promotion of health initiatives and increase awareness of available community resources
- Support the creation and distribution of outreach and program materials
- Assist with event preparation, logistics, and implementation
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling, maintaining program calendars, and organizing materials
- Track and document outreach activities and program engagement efforts
Program Eligibility- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program
- Preference given to Junior and Senior-level students
- Must be available to participate in at least 8 weeks of the 10-week program
- Interns will be matched with projects based on their academic field of study
Work Schedule- Up to 30 hours per week
- Internship duration: 8-10 consecutive weeks
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, based on organizational needs

Pay Range: The hourly rate for this position is $22.00. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
