Department:
Neurodiagnostics

Works under the supervision of the Department Director, Supervisor and Physician as requested. Accepts and completes in a timely manner assignments in all areas of the Neurodiagnostic Lab. Performs all technical and clinical work as outlined in the American Society Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist Standards (ASET). Records EEG awake and asleep, evoked potentials, AABRS, and EEG seizure monitoring. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient.

  • Performs noninvasive Neurodiagnostic procedures such as awake, asleep EEG's, Evoked Potentials, EEG/Video monitoring, and AABR's.


  • Charts data and time of procedure in progress notes in patient chart.


  • Maintains patient log book, writes up patient charge slips, schedules I.P. and O.P. test appointments, and gives results to physicians.


  • Updates and maintains alphabetical filling of reports.


  • Performs preventative maintenance, calibration, minor repairs, cleaning, patient supplies, disinfection, etc., of Neurology equipment and accessories.


  • Performs related duties such as stocking linen, ordering supplies, clerical duties, satisfying telephone inquiries or other staff inquiries, assisting others and special assignments.


  • Keeps current on literature and new technology.


  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Education: Work requires knowledge generally acquired through a high school education or GED. Associate Degree in Science or related field.

Licensure: Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards.

Experience: One-(1) to two-(2) years' experience in EEG or completion of formal training program.

Pay Range: The hourly rate for this position is $34.70- $41.63. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
