Director of Staff Development (DSD)
Ridgeway Post Acute
Salary: $100, 000-$120, 000 annually (DOE)

Ridgeway Post Acute is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Staff Development (DSD) to join our leadership team. This is a key role for a strong, hands-on leader who believes in being present on the floor, mentoring staff, and leading by example.

We're searching for a leader who inspires excellence, supports professional growth, and helps create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and quality care. The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, and confident—someone who builds trust with staff and partners closely with nursing leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee staff development, education, and competency programs
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal training requirements
  • Conduct new hire orientation and ongoing in-service education
  • Actively round on the floor to support, coach, and mentor staff
  • Collaborate with DON and leadership team to improve clinical outcomes
  • Maintain accurate training and competency records
  • Serve as a visible, supportive resource for all departments


Qualifications:
  • Active LVN or RN license (state-specific requirements apply)
  • Prior experience as a DSD or strong clinical leadership background in a skilled nursing/post-acute setting
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Passion for teaching, mentoring, and staff engagement
