Director of Staff Development (DSD) to join our leadership team. This is a key role for a
strong, hands-on leader who believes in being present on the floor, mentoring staff, and leading by example.
What We're Looking For: We're searching for a leader who inspires excellence, supports professional growth, and helps create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and quality care. The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, and confident—someone who builds trust with staff and partners closely with nursing leadership.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and oversee staff development, education, and competency programs
- Ensure compliance with state and federal training requirements
- Conduct new hire orientation and ongoing in-service education
- Actively round on the floor to support, coach, and mentor staff
- Collaborate with DON and leadership team to improve clinical outcomes
- Maintain accurate training and competency records
- Serve as a visible, supportive resource for all departments
Qualifications: - Active LVN or RN license (state-specific requirements apply)
- Prior experience as a DSD or strong clinical leadership background in a skilled nursing/post-acute setting
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and staff engagement
