Senior Community Manager (Floating) LIHTC/HUD - LA/OC

About the Role TheSenior Community Manager (Floating)is responsible for supporting the management and operations of multiple affordable housing communities. This position provides on-site leadership when Community Managers are unavailable, assists with compliance oversight, and helps maintain high operational standards across the portfolio. The role reports to theDirector of Operationsand collaborates closely with Operations, Compliance, Accounting, and onsite teams to support property performance and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Property Operations Provide operational support to communities across the portfolio as neededConduct property inspections and operational auditsAssist with lease-ups and property transitionsEnsure vacancies are marketed effectively and occupancy levels remain strongOversee work orders and ensure maintenance timelines are metMonitor market conditions and competitive pricing Compliance & Affordable Housing Maintain resident files and system records in accordance with regulatory requirementsReview and process annual recertifications and resident noticesMaintain waiting lists and ensure application processing compliancePartner with Compliance teams to ensure property data (AMI, rent limits, utility allowances) is accurate in the property management system Financial Management Monitor accounts receivable and resident ledgersPrepare deposits and ensure accurate payment postingAssist with month-end reporting and annual budgetsEnsure past resident balances are submitted to collections when necessary Leadership & Team Development Supervise and mentor onsite staff including Community Managers and Maintenance teamsSupport employee training and performance managementAssist with hiring, timekeeping review, and performance evaluations Resident & Community Relations Address resident concerns in a timely and professional mannerSupport resident engagement programs and community initiativesMaintain positive relationships with local agencies and community partners Qualifications Required 35 years of property management experience at the Community Manager levelExperience managing communities of100+ units3+ years of supervisory experienceExperience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD - project based, PSH)Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skillsComputer proficiency including Microsoft Office Preferred Bachelors degree in Business or related fieldExperience withYardi property management softwareFinancial management experience including budgeting and reporting What We Offer Competitive pay and benefitsOpportunities for career growth and developmentCollaborative and supportive work environmentThe opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve About Quality Management Group At QMG, we manage communities and living spaces that residents are proud to call home.
