Description:
SUMMARY
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Sexually Transmitted Diseases Control Branch (STDCB) is seeking a temporary project coordinator to lead gonorrhea programmatic efforts and support the: Combating Antimicrobial Resistant Gonorrhea and Other Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) (CARGOS) project. This will intersect across a broad spectrum of programs including epidemiology/surveillance, disease intervention (including case investigation and partner services), clinical, policy, and local capacity building. Specifically, the Project Coordinator will: 1) collaborate with and be a liaison to STD program partners (including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, project stakeholders, and local health jurisdictions (LHJ)); 2) provide administrative and project/program management support including management of budgets and purchasing, and contributions to progress reports and grant-writing; 3) manage project/program protocols; 4) manage excel spreadsheets and create graphs to summarize data; and 5) provide technical assistance and local capacity building on antimicrobial resistant gonorrhea (ARGC) rapid detection and response in California.
This position is limited term through May 15, 2026, with the possibility of extension depending on funding availability.
