General Purpose

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide residents with compassionate, high-quality daily nursing care and services in accordance with their care plans and under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and assistance with daily living activities according to each resident's care plan
  • Identify residents before care, meals, or treatments using authorized facility procedures (e.g., wristband or photo ID)
  • Record care accurately using approved facility abbreviations and documentation standards
  • Report all changes in residents' conditions, as well as accidents or incidents, to the Nurse Supervisor promptly
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents' protected health information and report any suspected violations
  • Prepare resident rooms for admission and ensure a welcoming, organized environment
  • Greet, escort, and assist residents during admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Handle residents' personal belongings respectfully and according to facility policy
  • Support residents during transportation to appointments or activities as needed
  • Contribute to a positive, calm, and supportive environment for residents and team members
  • Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training to improve quality of care


Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position does not include supervisory duties


Qualifications & Requirements
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License - State of California (required)
