Peninsula Post Acute is hiring!

Description:

Peninsula Post Acute, a premier skilled nursing facility located in Burlingame, is looking for an Activity Assistant who can work in a fast-paced environment, have a positive attitude, and work together as part of a team.

Shift Schedule & Expectations: The current shift schedule, based on the current Activities calendar, is as follows:

Scheduled hours:

Monday: 8: 30 AM - 5: 00 PM

Thursday: 8: 30 AM - 5: 00 PM

Friday: 8: 30 AM - 5: 00 PM

Saturday: 8: 30 AM - 5: 00 PM

Sunday: 8: 30 AM - 5: 00 PM

Tue & Wed are off.

Rate - $21

Expectations:
  • No long acrylic nails - due to patient interaction
  • Must have good attendance and reliability
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • Preferred 1 year job experiences.


What we do:

Activity Assistant at Peninsula Post-Acute - The roles and responsibilities of the Activity Assistant position include:

Reviewing the new admission list on PCC and any messages from Director

Preparing for assessments if newspapers haven't been delivered yet.

If the newspaper is delivered:
  • 8: 45-10: 00 AM: Distribute newspapers and snack cart.
  • 10: 00 AM: Take a 10-minute break. (two 10 mins break)
  • 10: 15 AM: Prepare for assessments and proceed with interviews. (training
  • will be provided)


Documentation: Activity Assessment, Baseline Care Plan, Care Plan, IDT Note (training will be provided).

If there is an event scheduled for 11: 00 AM:
  • S tart preparing the ACT room if the event will be held there.
  • Begin picking up residents from their rooms and bring them to the ACT room or patio.
  • Assist with residents during the event, ensuring a positive and engaging environment.
  • Work closely with other staff members.


Skills and Qualities:
  • Patience, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to engage with a variety of people, especially the elderly or those with disabilities.
  • Organizing and leading recreational activities.


Additional Responsibilities:
  • Organize and check ACT supplies; report to me (AD) if supplies are running low.


Holiday Policy:

  • If a holiday falls on your working day, you are expected to work. However, you will receive double pay after passing the promotion period when you work on Holiday.

  • It is essential to maintain regular communication during working hours to ensure smooth operations. . Effective communication is key to the success of our team.
