Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based interventions to improve functional independence, ADLs, cognition, and upper-extremity function.
- Utilize the ADL Suite for realistic, goal-oriented functional training.
- Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary therapy team.
- Supervise COTAs in accordance with California practice guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Participate in care conferences, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques, home programs, safety, and equipment use.
Qualifications
- Current California Occupational Therapist (OT) license in good standing.
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to resident-centered care and interdisciplinary teamwork.
- New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Internationally trained therapists are encouraged to apply; sponsorship opportunities may be available.
