Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team and play a vital role in running our Sensory Integration program. As a COTA at Napa Post Acute, you will work closely with our Occupational Therapists to develop and implement sensory integration interventions tailored to the unique needs of each resident.
Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to assess residents' sensory needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement sensory integration interventions, including therapeutic activities and exercises, to improve sensory processing and motor skills.
- Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
- Provide education and support to residents and their families on sensory integration techniques and strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment sessions and resident progress in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications: - Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Experience working with individuals with sensory processing disorders preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
