Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation, tray setup, and meal service in accordance with physician orders and dietary guidelines.
- Deliver meals, snacks, and beverages to residents while ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Provide feeding assistance to residents as assigned and trained.
- Follow portion control standards and accommodate therapeutic diets, including diabetic, cardiac, low-sodium, and texture-modified meal plans.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, dining areas, workstations, and food preparation surfaces.
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Stock food items, beverages, and supplies while assisting with inventory organization and storage.
- Follow all facility policies and procedures related to food safety, sanitation, infection control, and workplace safety.
- Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, families, visitors, and staff.
- Support special events, holiday meals, and other dietary department functions as needed.
- Work collaboratively with dietary staff to ensure efficient meal service and resident satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, dietary services, or a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with residents and team members.
