Position Summary

Moraga Post Acute is seeking a reliable and hardworking Dietary Aide to join our team. The Dietary Aide plays an essential role in supporting the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, service, and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment to ensure residents receive nutritious and enjoyable meals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident needs
  • Set up meal trays, deliver food to residents, and assist with feeding when necessary
  • Follow portion control and special diet instructions (e.g., low sodium, diabetic diets)
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and properly
  • Stock and organize food supplies and assist with inventory as needed
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff
  • Assist with special events or catering within the facility as needed


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service or healthcare dietary setting is a plus
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Compassionate and service-oriented attitude toward residents
