Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our exceptional in-house rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive, voice, and fluency disorders
  • Assess and manage dysphagia and swallowing-related conditions
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each resident's goals
  • Collaborate closely with nursing, dietary, rehabilitation, and medical teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Educate residents and families regarding therapy plans and progress
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal guidelines
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment interventions as appropriate


Qualifications
  • Current and valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
  • Strong interest in geriatric rehabilitation, stroke recovery, and cognitive-communication therapy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing patient care needs in a PRN setting
  • Skilled in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
