Description:
Job Summary: Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pulmonary Nurse LVN to join our clinical team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in respiratory care and a strong commitment to providing high-quality nursing services to patients with pulmonary conditions. This role involves close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and improve respiratory health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide skilled nursing care to patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions
- Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status, including oxygen saturation and lung sounds
- Administer medications, treatments, and oxygen therapy as prescribed
- Assist with pulmonary rehabilitation and breathing treatments (e.g., nebulizers, inhalers)
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Accurately document patient care, progress, and any changes in condition
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health, treatments, and care plans
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility policies
Qualifications: - Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in good standing (California)
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; pulmonary or respiratory care experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
Schedule: - Part-time hours; flexible scheduling may be available
- Weekend and holiday availability may be required
