Your Role

As a COTA, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents restore independence and improve their ability to perform daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Deliver individual and group therapy treatments as outlined by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Complete accurate and timely notes, progress reports, and other required documentation in accordance with state and facility standards.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team members to support resident progress and goal achievement.
  • Education & Support: Teach residents, family members, and staff therapeutic exercises and home programs to ensure successful discharge and continued progress.
  • Department Support: Assist with maintaining therapy equipment and contribute to the smooth operation of the department.
  • Professional Growth: Participate in in-service training and skill development programs to continue growing within the organization.


Qualifications
  • Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License/Certification - State of California
