McClure Post Acute is seeking a dynamic
Director of Staff Development (DSD) to lead our clinical education programs and ensure our team provides the highest quality of care. This is a critical leadership role that combines clinical expertise with administrative excellence.
The Opportunity: - Position: Full-Time Director of Staff Development
- Salary: $104, 000 per year
- Location: McClure Post Acute

Your Leadership Impact: As the DSD, you are the architect of our facility's clinical competency and culture.
- Education & Training: Plan, implement, and evaluate all facility orientation, job skills training, and in-service education for nursing staff.
- Recruitment & Culture: Coordinate the hiring and onboarding of new staff, ensuring they are prepared for success from day one.
- Regulatory Excellence: Maintain all records for in-services as required by state and federal regulations; participate in licensing and certification surveys.
- Clinical Oversight: Collaborate with the DON and Administrator to monitor the delivery of patient care, coordinate infection control surveillance, and step in for direct resident care as needed.
- Safety Leadership: Plan and conduct required fire and disaster drills to ensure facility-wide preparedness.
- Staff Empowerment: Identify educational needs through facility rounds and evaluations, generating enthusiasm for professional growth among the team.
Qualifications: - Licensure: Current, valid California LVN License (RNs also encouraged to apply).
- Experience:
- Minimum of (1) year of experience providing direct patient care in a long-term care facility.
- Minimum of (1) year of experience planning and implementing nursing education programs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with PointClickCare (PCC) is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to relate positively to residents, families, and staff.
- Certification: Current CPR Certification.
