Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Lead end-to-end billing operations for digital advertising revenue across Hearst Autos and related business units
  • Oversee monthly billing across multiple revenue streams, including direct IO campaigns and programmatic advertising, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Direct publisher revenue share calculations and payment processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Partner with Finance on monthly close activities, including revenue accruals, deferred revenue analysis, and general ledger reconciliation
  • Ensure seamless integration and data accuracy between MS Dynamics billing platform and Oracle financial systems
  • Oversee accounts receivable processes, monitor aging, and collaborate cross-functionally to support timely collections
  • Advise Sales and Account Management on deal structure, order setup, billing processes, and revenue recognition implications
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the billing team while managing critical operational workflows, reporting, and audit readiness

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)

  • 10+ years of experience in billing operations, revenue accounting, financial operations, or related fields, including leadership experience
  • Strong expertise in digital advertising billing models, including direct and programmatic revenue streams
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large, complex data sets
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems such as Oracle, MS Dynamics, or similar ERP platforms
  • Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience partnering across Sales, Finance, and Operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
  • This role is based in San Francisco, CA, with a hybrid schedule of 4 days per week in-office

The base salary for this role is between $168, 000 and $204, 000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
