Description:

Position Summary: The Customer Engineering Service Manager for the West Region plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the seamless delivery of products and services to our customers. This position is responsible for overseeing equipment service operations, managing a high-performing team, and driving operational excellence with a strong focus on safety, quality, and technical integrity. Additionally, the role includes responsibility for the design, cost budgeting, and installation of small engineering projects and applications. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a regional team of 29+ employees, including 4 direct reports (Maintenance and Installation Superintendents). - Oversee all aspects of customer support operations, including installations, maintenance, repairs, and system removals. - Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards and policies. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, and Technical teams to resolve complex service issues and enhance customer satisfaction. - Drive financial performance of the department, including productivity, cost control, and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs). - Coordinate and manage large-scale bulk installations and advanced site surveys. - Implement strategic service initiatives and customer supply system improvements aligned with company objectives. - Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to the Customer Service Engineering team, Linde Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service. - Oversee and coordinate site surveys for advanced systems and ensure successful execution of all bulk installations. - Design, budget, and manage the installation of small-scale engineering projects and applications, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company standards. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelors in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred; equivalent years of relevant industry experience will be considered. - Experience: - Minimum 7 years in Operations, with at least 3 years in a management role. - Commercial experience is a plus. - Strong technical and managerial acumen with a proven ability to lead diverse teams. - In-depth knowledge of industrial gas systems, installation processes, and safety compliance is highly desirable. - Willingness to travel 25-50% across the West Region.
