Part-Time Registered Dietitian / Dietary Specialist

Pay: From $55.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Day shift (with required morning meeting attendance)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian / Dietary Specialist to join our healthcare team. This role focuses on assessing nutritional needs, ensuring dietary compliance, and supporting the overall health and well-being of residents/patients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Meet all health, compliance, and competency requirements
  • Attend and participate in daily morning meetings/stand-ups
  • Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and health plans to develop individualized dietary care plans
  • Provide nutritional counseling to patients/residents as needed
  • Monitor food service operations to ensure compliance with:
    • Nutritional standards
    • Safety and sanitation guidelines
    • Quality expectations
    • State and federal regulations
  • Oversee food control systems, including:
    • Food temperatures
    • Portion control
    • Preparation methods
    • Food presentation
  • Inspect diet trays to ensure compliance with physician-prescribed diets
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, dialysis dietitians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain positive working relationships with patients, families, and staff
Qualifications
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or eligible (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of clinical nutrition and therapeutic diets
  • Knowledge of state and federal dietary regulations in healthcare settings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
