Full-Time Lead CNAMonday-Friday SchedulePay Starting from $21- $25+General Purpose
The primary purpose of your job position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by
your supervisors. The expectation as a lead CNA is that you utilize your leadership qualities to positively impact your peers.Essential Duties- ***All essential duties are in addition to the roles outlined in the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) job description***
- Attend weekly peer to peer committee meetings. These will be held every Wednesday at 11am. to offer insight on changes in behavior for residents, suggest desired training for floor staff, and inquire about any additional resources that may help floor staff complete their job to the best of their ability.
- Assist with scheduling issues at shift change: Assign sections amongst staff in the event of a call off. Assist in reaching out to staff to help cover shifts in the event of a call off. Ensure scheduled staff have shown up for their shift.
- Facilitate solution resolution in staff conflicts: Use leadership qualities to help your peers reach a resolution when an issue comes forth.
- Help to monitor the usage of supplies on the floor: ensure staff members are using linen, gloves, and various other supplies in an efficient way. Report in weekly meetings feedback on the week's supply utilization.
- Display general leadership qualities: Help fellow CNA's to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Assist in holding fellow CNA's accountable to high levels of care. Engage in conversations with staff whose performance is falling short. EX: You notice a CNA on your shift is double briefing residents. Have a conversation with them to help them understand this is not acceptable and falls short of the high standard of care.
- Maintain open line of communication with Nurse's, and department heads on the overall performance and requests on the floor.
- Assist peers with tasks to minimize overtime.
Supervisory Requirements
Assist in supervising peer performance on the floor.Qualification
Education and/or ExperienceMust possess, as a minimum, an 10th grade education
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.Mathematical SkillsAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with laws of the state.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Prolonged use of a desktop or laptop computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand; walk and talk, read or hear. Frequent use of all office related equipment to include copier/scanner/fax, telephone, and calculator.
May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.Work Environment
